Sensitive Skin
Happy Tuesday! This is such a busy time of year for me! That’s because both of my son’s were born the week of Christmas! My youngest just had his birthday on Friday, and my oldest son is celebrating his today!
Since it’s a Tuesday, I wanted to take a few minutes to finally get back to writing! It’s Skin Care Tip Tuesday so let’s talk about sensitive skin, and rosacea! Sensitive skin is common, especially with factors like our environment, stress, and sun exposure all playing a role. Sensitive skin is a condition, but it is genetically predisposed. Sensitive skin is characterized by redness, and is easily irritated.
Rosacea
Rosacea is an inflammation of the skin. It’s thought to be more common today due to an aging population, as well as increased use of medications. Rosacea is an inflammation of the skin characterized by increased redness, dilation of blood vessels, and in extreme cases resulting in pustules. The redness is primarily noted on the cheeks, and nose. While the cause it unknown, genetics are thought to play a key role.
