This post is long overdue. Last year, I wrote a blog teaching you how to eat Plantbased on the go. Since that time, I did participate in the Veganuary challenge, and I loved the way my body felt so I continued to eat this way! I’m fortunate enough to have a few vegans & vegetarians in my family, which makes it that much easier for me, especially around the holidays! It was super easy for me to make the switch from vegetarian to vegan since we’re in a pandemic, and I’m spending so much time at home now.
My sister went vegan before I did, and I noticed her phenomenal results! She lost weight, and looks absolutely fabulous! Her skin also noticeably cleared up! For me, I wanted to step it up and do my part to protect the animals. I also have been working in the nursing field for 14 years now so I’ve been able to consciously decide what I did, and didn’t want for my body. This felt like the best decision for me, and I just wish I did this so much earlier on in my life. I lost some weight, although that wasn’t why I chose this diet. I realized that I noticeably felt like I had more energy! I also stopped getting stomach aches.
A vegan diet is right for me, but it might not be right for everyone. Do not change your diet without consulting with your primary care physician first.

Grocery Shopping
I’ve always shopped at Stop & Shop for most of my food, but lately I’ve been able to shop at Aldi! Aldi has made a point to add more vegan products on their shelves. Now, I can get vegan chicken tenders, vegan ice cream, vegan whipped cream, oat milk, veggie burgers, and so much more from there! Stop & Shop remains my go-to store for items like vegan butter, vegan cheese, vegan salad dressing, vegan Parmesan cheese, and so much more! They used to have a specific organic aisle, making it super easy to shop, but they reset the entire store the pandemic. Now, you can find out our vegan items next to the animal products. For example, the vegan butter is now next to the regular butter. You can also find some staple items on Amazon. If you’re eating vegan, you definitely want to stock up on fresh fruits, and vegetables, which you can get anywhere. You can even try growing your own!

On The Go List
If you’re planning to go out to eat with your family, just check the restaurant’s menu online prior to going to see if they have vegan options! Most of them do now! You can also always request restaurants to start adding vegan items onto their menu. If they know there’s a demand for it, they might consider it. You can usually always get a salad, or fries from restaurants, but that’s boring! Here’s my list of restaurants that do offer vegan options!
Duchess
Your local Chinese restaurant & sushi restaurant will have vegan options!
Check back soon because I’ll be adding more to the list❣️
